There is a lot of social commitment but also an unexpected environmental trend. There is family, love, women. This and more can be found in the collection of poems written by Umberto Bossi in the Lombard dialect before the founding of the League and entering the political arena. Between the end of the 1970s and the beginning of the 1980s, the future leader of Carroccio delighted in writing poems filled with feelings, pain, death, and realistic stories. The memories were left in the drawer and are now being published for the first time on social networks, with translations into Italian. This shouldn’t be too surprising, given that Posiano’s artistic vein came to light in the 1960s when he was a singer-songwriter under the stage name Donato. Most of the texts date back to Umberto’s period of autonomy: in 1979, approaching the independent movements, he gave life to the first independent political entity in Lombardy, the Northwest Lombard Autonomous Federation.
