When does GTA 6 come out? Release date and latest news

GTA V was released ten years ago and fans have been patiently waiting for news of the next chapter in the series ever since. It’s been two console generations since the last GTA was released, in fact, and modern remasters just aren’t enough.

We’re all set for a new adventure of stealing cars, robbing banks and doing all sorts of other crimes (but only in the video game…). But since when can we do this? Here’s everything we know about the GTA 6 release date.

When does GTA 6 come out? –

Rockstar has yet to give an official release date for GTA 6, but has revealed that the game has been in development for three to four years. Leaks have shown that the title is still in an early stage of work and is still missing key components of the game.

Judging by the videos leaked so far, compared to the schedule for other GTAs in the past, the most likely launch window is the fall-winter season of 2024. However, some experts suggest we may have to wait until 2026 before we can get going. The game version can be seen.

In what era and where is it set? –

Rockstar hasn’t officially revealed the setting yet, but the uncontrolled rumor started when publisher Take-Two Interactive started removing GTA V mods set in Vice City. Loved by fans, the site has had many upgrades over the years thanks to the Modder community. After a huge hack suffered by Rockstar, fans have been able to piece together information about game map.

These videos, which have been confirmed to be real, support the rumors that the game will take place in Rockstar’s fictional version of Miami. However, while Vice City 2002 is set in the 1980s, GTA 6 looks set to be in the present day. The map will also be twice the size of GTA V, and it looks like there will be a completely different approach to the locations of the origin.

Why did it take so long? –

Although it has been ten years since GTA V, GTA 6 has not been officially delayed. Even after last year’s leak, I told Rockstar these wouldn’t cause any delays whatsoever. GTA V continues to break records in terms of sales and has been supported for a very long time, between the original game, port and remaster (most recently for current generation consoles). GTA Online is still very popular today and receives new updates on a regular basis, which means that work on a sequel is taking much longer. Five years passed between GTA IV and GTA V, and both were much younger.
